Disciples for a LIfetime

Partnering with Parents and Families

By the time they leave 5th grade...

we want them to:

  • Love Jesus. Love others.
  • Know how to make wise choices.
  • Know that the Bible is our source of Truth.
  • Know that they can trust God, no matter what.

In the back of our Worship Center you'll find the Quiet Corner.  This sound proof room lets you engage in the service, even with a chatty little one!  Private nursing rooms are also here with video feed of the service, a changing table and just quiet!

Special Needs

If your child has special needs and would like to participate in our Sunday School Ministry, please contact Carolyn Kiddy to discuss needs and options.  We have an inclusive ministry and will do our best to work with you and your child.

COVID Schedule

We're excited to get back to our small groups but we have some changes.

  • 3 sessions, 4 weeks long each
  • You will need to sign up for each one. This means workers and kids don't need to commit if you're traveling, have sports, etc.
  • We'll do our best to keep kids with like ages but specific groups will depend on number of workers and kids and room capacity
  • Session 1: Jan. 21-Feb 11. We'll be studying 4 spiritual habits that will launch us into 2021 with God
  • Session 2: March 4-March 25. We'll study the life of David
  • Session 3: April 15-May 6. Stay tuned for our topic!
  • Volunteers and kids can use the same registration link
When Does CrossTraining Meet?

Thursday nights, 6:15-7:45pm (Cubbies, our 3-4yr olds, gets out at 7:30)

End of September-End of April

What do CrossTraining groups look like?
  • 50% Bible time, Discussion and Prayer
  • 50% Activity time
  • 8-12 kids per group
  • 3 SGLs (Small Group Leaders) per group
Why are small groups good for kids?
  • Small groups create a safe place for kids
  • Small group leaders have the time and ability to invest in the kids and build authentic relationships
  • Leaders can lead with authentic faith, encouraging kids in their spiritual walk also
Will CrossTraining Groups support parents?
  • YES!  We only have them for 1.5 hours during the week.  Parents are still the primary disciple-making force in a child's life.
  • Resources will be provided on how to engage kids in conversation about what they are learning
  • SGLs will be building relationships with parents as they drop off and pickup, or even other times as applicable, in order to support the family
  • Parents may be invited to assist occasionally with a group or activity, further plugging them into this faith community

Camp Memorization 2021.jpg

We believe in the value of developing strong faith habits including corporate worship, personal study and investment in the wider Christian community. We see the value of Christian camps and want to support parents in sending their kids. By participating in this program, kids can earn scholarships toward their choice of approved Christian summer camp. We hope their experiences will plant seeds deep in their hearts, helping make disciples for a lifetime!

  • For grades 2 – 12
  • May 1-June 13. All work must be submitted by June 13 to be accepted.
      • Those that have not finished the program by the cut-off date can still receive a pro-rated subsidy if they complete at least 50% of the required material.
  • $75 can be earned in 2021. Balance earned in 2020 will be carried over (if applicable) for a maximum reward of $15

Moms & Sons Scavenger Hunt!

Mother Son Scavenger Hunt.jpg

Join us for challenges and lunch all over the church campus. We'll have things set up for all ages, 4-18.

When you're done with the hunt section, we'll have Hotdogs on the grill, ready for a simple picnic. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket for your picnic.

We're hoping this gives mom(or mom-figure) some dedicated time to invest in relationship with her boy(s) and show them just how much they are loved and valued. Click here to register!
